Replace vs. Restore: Exterior Metal Door

The importance of first impressions can’t be underestimated, as we all have an experience where we or someone else didn’t make the best first impression. The same is true for our homes, which is why most homeowners put a significant amount of time and effort into making sure their home has a lot of curb appeal. This can involve ensuring that the exterior of your home is in top condition, whether it’s landscaping, siding, exterior windows and doors, or outdoor furniture and decor.

Take it from a satisfied customer who used AL-NEW Aluminum Restoration Solution to restore an exterior metal door on their home. The door was western facing and received a lot of direct sunlight throughout the day. Living in a dusty city and off of a golf course, this particular door was subject to the elements and was beginning to look a little worse for wear. They had contemplated hiring a contractor to paint it in order to improve its appearance or replacing it altogether, both options being expensive and time-consuming. Thankfully, they held off on making the investment in one of those decisions, and opted to give AL-NEW a try.

This exterior metal door was a dark brown color that was starting to show the effects of chalky build-up and residue. Lacking the luster and shine it had when it was brand new, they were looking for a solution to improve its appearance and their curb appeal. This consumer noted that the application process was easy to follow and complete. Being a cautious consumer, they opted to use gloves during the application process, though it is not required. Simply apply the solution using a microfiber towel and rub, no scrubbing required, across the surface. After several months, this consumer is extremely pleased with the results and noted that the door looks like new.

By opting to try the AL-NEW Aluminum Restoration Solution to remove the chalky build-up and residue on this exterior door, this customer was able to save money and time having to hire a contractor to paint over it or purchase a new door altogether. If you’ve got an exterior door that could use a facelift, put down the paintbrush or your wallet, and pick up AL-NEW and a microfiber towel here to restore it instead of refinishing or replacing it.
